My absolute worst (and those of you at dinner last week have already heard about it) was in 3rd grade, near the end of third grade. This would be in 1983 - that's right - well before you were born! Anyway, I had long strawberry blond hair. I tried one night after my bath to curl it with a comb. THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. The comb became so tangled I ended up with a super short hair cut, and then a mullet. That's right - not pretty.

my worst haircut would be when i was about 3 years old. my mom had mentioned that i needed a haircut before leaving for work one day. my dad, in his economically conscious nature, decided that it would be silly to pay someone to cut a 3-year-old's hair, and that he could do just as good a job at home. what i ended up with was an uneven girl-version of a bowl cut with bangs halfway up my forehead. when my mom got home from work, she cried and told my dad she would be hiding the scissors every time she left for work from now on.

There was, of course, the aesthetically unfortunate combination of snaggle-teeth, denim jumpers, and poofy curled bangs in grade school. I blame my mom. But it wasn't until I was a senior in highschool that I got a really disappointing haircut that was almost boy-short by the time it was fixed.

The week before graduation.

At which I had to deliver a speech.

Yay graduation caps.

summer before 9th or 10th grade, I went for the first and last time to a great clips. I asked the lady to cut my hair shoulder length. Well, she starts to cut my hair and then stops about halfway through because she said she needed to go cash a check at the bank next door,I was like ok...so then she comes back and finishes cutting, before all was said and done I had an uneven bob up to my ears, it was horrible because I couldn't even put it up because it was so short. To make matters worse this was the summer I got my permit picture taken so the haircut haunted me for a while...

One Friday I walked into Great Clips, sat in the chair and told the girl how I wanted her to cut my hair. She proceeded to take the electric clippers and shave a strip of hair down the middle of my head (reverse mohawk style, no guard). She then said, "oops!!" Next she proceeded, as was only appropriate at that time, to shave the rest of my head. On Monday, I started my new job with BASF, complete with new picture ID tag, which I then used for the next ten years of my life.

my worst haircut was probably in middle school/beginning of high school. i had really short bob kind of thing with these really think bangs across my forehead. one of my friends said i had a bush growing across my forehead. that's when i decided it was time to grow them out.

I've had several "worst haircuts," which is probably why I've shaved my head for the past 5 years.

Worst Haircuts #1 and #2
In 5th grade, my dad always just gave me a buzz cut, and one time some friends were over so we decided to shave a Nike swoosh into the back of my hair. I kept it until it grew out. Another time, some friends from my hockey team were over and we decided to shave a hockey stick and a hockey puck into my hair. I was definitely the coolest kid in 5th grade.

Worst Haircut #3/#4
I decided to grow my hair out junior year of high school, so by the beginning of senior year, it was down to my shoulders. As if this wasn't bad enough, when I finally decided to cut it, I had it shaved into a mullet. My family actually paid me to wear it to school the next day though, so I'm not sure if it counts as a "worst haircut" since I was bribed to get it.
