It's not enough for a former child actor to abuse alcohol, do drugs, and get busted for DUI and driving without a license. My pick goes to Edward Furlong, aka John Connor from Terminator 2, also aka the younger brother in American History X. Mr. Furlong took craziness a step further in 2004, when he joined PETA and tried to "liberate" some lobsters from a grocery store in Kentucky. Yes, he was arrested for it.
Well, she's not really crazy (by my standards), but Winnie Cooper of Wonder Years fame, or Danica McKellar as she's known in the real world, is my choice for fave child actor, mainly because of her status as a mathematics advocate. She was a published mathematician before graduating from UCLA in 1998, and currently writes books to encourage women to stick with mathematics.
