This is going to sound way too thought out, because it is.
BUT if I were a quarter trying to hide in the Hayes house, I would hide in the middle of the rocks in the bowl on top of the cabinet thing in the corner of the dining room.
I don't think this particular item is still in the Hayes house but if it was, I would hide inside the Winnie the Pooh seat that used to reside in the basement and became an integral part of the Blue Flames small group. I feel I would have been safe there...
Do the boys have Legos? If I were a little quarter I would totally hide in the Legos, because it doesn't get much cooler than being surrounded by giant Legos.
Or I'd hide in Stuart's Scrooge McDuck-style coin-filled swimming vault because come on, you know he has one.
I would hide between the layers of a worn-out pair of shoes. Then one day Shannon or Stuart would be walking out of the house and SHAZZAM, i'd come shooting out of the shoe unexpectedly, dazzling the Hayes family with my appearance while simultaneously making my great escape into the unknown.
I would probably hide somewhere among the toys in the basement...I don't think that anyone would be able to see me well and when no one was looking, I could play with all the awesome toys the Hayes boys have. :D

I would hide in the fireplace - amongst all the little rocks. No one would EVER look for me there!! :)
Surely one of the kids has a piggy bank. I would hide there, after all nowhere like a forest to hide a leaf.
