Animalympics. It was a cartoon about a bunch of talking animals competing against each other in their own Olympics. I recall two marathon runners (maybe a goat and a lion) falling in love during the race and crossing the finish line together, hand in hand. If interspecies love doesn't bring a tear to your eye, I don't know what will.
PS - The whole movie is on YouTube.
An American Tail: Fieval Goes West. So I know its a story about a mouse family moving to the West but I absolutely loved this movie as a kid. I watched it ALL the time. My favorite scene was when Tanya. Fievel's sister is getting ready to perform in the salloon. I always thought it was really cool how Miss Kitty gets her ready to perform. Perhaps this is odd but I thought it better than the cliche answer of the Lion King.
I'm going to have to go with "A Christmas Story." Not only does this movie NEVER get old for me on a yearly basis...it doesn't even get old during the 24 hour A Christmas Story marathon on USA every Christmas eve. I can recite huge chunks of the movie from memory and I tend to "sing along" (as it were) when I watch it every year. My family owns it on DVD just in case the TV stations ever decide to stop showing it, or if the cable goes out on Christmas eve. (I suppose we should invest in a generator in case the power goes out- so we're sure to get our fix.) "Over the years I got to be quite a connoisseur of soap. Though my personal preference was for Lux, I found that Palmolive had a nice, piquant after-dinner flavor - heavy, but with a touch of mellow smoothness. Life Buoy, on the other hand... YECCHH!"
It definitely would be the 1989 Batman. I was in to Batman as a kid and I liked the movie alot. I still to this day think it is probably the best Batman movie outside of "The Dark Knight".
Definitely Aladdin. I thought Jasmine was so cool because she had a tiger and she wore pants instead of a dress. Plus my other siblings and I would pretend to be all the characters and we would act out our own version of the movie. (I got to be Raja).
