There is NO question. Mario Kart for the N-64. I have never met anyone who does not like Mario Kart. In fact, I have not ever met anyone who would not want to play Mario Kart at any given moment just to prove who is better.

I'm going to go with an obscure title: "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem". This brilliant title had a unique "sanity bar" to tell you how sane your character currently was. If it got too low, strange things would happen to your game, like the game pretending like your television was muted, act like it would delete all of your saved games, fake resets of the Gamecube, and finally, it even showed Microsoft's famous Blue Screen of Death.

Super Tecmo Bowl, it was (and is) the perfect game of skill and luck, where a novice can play and enjoy it, while an expert can compete head-to-head; seasons can be played and community can be established; but you only have 24 hours to play your game or we skip you....

I haven't played it in years, but I absolutely love Goldeneye. Definitely one of the best multiplayer party games ever made, and its single-player mode was incredibly fun by itself. Take that, overrated Halo series.

Honorable mentions go to Super Mario World, God of War, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time.

I must say the all time best game ever created in the history of this earth has got to be Mario 64. Its got a superb gallery of art within the two dimensional walls known as "Princess Peach's Castle". It has devious enemies, and a plethora of levels. All in all Mario 64 is by far the most masterful game to date.

clearly street fighters. however a close second was sonic the hedgehog--knuckles was my favorite.

For computer: there is no other candidate on the same plane as Age of Empires II preferably with the conquerors expansion, but for console I'd have to say super smash bros. for N64

i am so torn.

so very torn.

between the arcade stylings of galaga and battletoads.

clearly these games are both first ballot hall of famers and led the league during their careers in virtually every statistical category.

but i've probably logged more hours (and money) on battletoads, as my friends and i routinely skipped the second half of the day during our senior year in high school playing the game at a local cici's pizza. we finally beat it in a 4 hour marathon session on the last day of classes- which still ranks as my greatest video game moment. mostly because of the poetic circumstances...last day of classes, we all were destined to go our separate ways, we narrowly avoided disaster at several points along the way- we persevered- we focused- we fought side by side- and we got free refills on coke for four hours.
